The most common mistake:

Buying King fitted sheets for a Cal King mattress. They will be too wide (4" extra) and too short (4" missing). The corners will not stay tucked and the sheet will bunch up. Always check the label for "California King" specifically.

Finding Cal King Sheets

Cal King sheets are less common in stores. Most retailers carry them online but not in-store. Amazon, Target, and Brooklinen all stock Cal King sizes. Look for "Cal King" or "California King" on the label, not just "King."

Expect to pay 5-15% more for Cal King sheets compared to standard King due to lower production volume.
